Hate all you want about Kevin Durant’s decision to go to an already championship winning team – the dude is one of the best players in the world. KD is always in the same conversation as Lebron James and Steph Curry, so he’s to be respected no matter what he does. But any basketball lover knows this. Kevin Durant wears number 35 on his jersey as a tribute and honor to his childhood coach Charles Craig, who was tragically murdered at the age of 35. Kevin considered Charles a father figure, and wants to always remember the person who molded him into the superstar player he is today.
KD told his mom at just 8-years-old that he would make it to the NBA. That’s why his MVP speech dedicated to his mom was so touching.

Can you believe that despite having Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp on the team, no Seattle Sonics player had ever won the Rookie of the Year award before Durant. In addition, KD broke the Sonics’ record for rookie scoring. A record that had stood for 40 years by some dude named Bob Rule.
At only 21-years-old, Kevin Durant is the youngest player ever to win an NBA scoring title.
Here’s an embarrassing KD fact, he has a tattoo on his body that’s meant to say “Mature”, but was misspelled “Moutre”. KD claims the error never happened, but sources closes to KD say he got it fixed a couple of years ago.
